The new Super Smash Bros. games look pretty great, but we’re still very much in the teasing part of their publicity. Every day a new picture is released that shows some small part of the title, and occasionally we’ll get something a little exciting or that hints at something bigger. It can be fun, but it’s arguably gone on a little too long. Nintendo agree, and are going to have something of an info blow-out this coming Tuesday. From the…

EA Openly Mock Wii U on Twitter
It's April 1st, and that means you absolutely have to be careful what you reveal, lest it gets called a joke. Some developers try to make an effort, even creating videos to entertain and stick in the mind. Whoever runs EA's Frostbite account decided to pull a different kind of prank.

Ocarina of Time Completed in Under 19 Minutes
What's the fastest you've ever finished Ocarina of Time? Chances are, it was quite a while. Child Link's sections can be beaten in a few hours, if you know what you're doing and don't get sidetracked, but the Adult Link stuff - and I'm thinking the Water Temple here - can be quite frustrating. Still, Ocarina can be beaten much quicker, if you know what you're doing. In less than 20 minutes, actually. And that includes over three minutes for the opening cut scene.

N64 HDMI Converter Coming Soon
The N64 is a nice piece of kit, with a library of games that make it well worth keeping on the shelf. Still, there's one thing that isn't all that cool about it. If you want to play it, you need to keep around an older TV, or use a converter from eBay. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to play Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask on the flatscreen, without using an emulator?

Nintendo Shutting Down Wii, DS Online Features
The new generation is definitely here now, and for Nintendo it's been almost 18 months since they released their latest device, the Wii U (and even longer since the 3DS came out). Perhaps it's no surprise then that the house of Mario is shutting down their online services from last-gen. With almost no expections, the Wii and DS are now offline consoles.

So what makes yet another Zelda game so appealing and fun?

You Don’t Suck This Bad at Mario
This is some of the most impressive gaming you'll see this year - it's also technically some of the worst. One YouTuber, NotEntirelySure, has gone out of his way to do the worst run at Mario possible - 500 points at the end of the game. What's most impressive is just how skilled he needed to be to pull this off. Prepare yourself for a few open-mouthed smiles as you watch.

3DS Piracy Cartridge Bricks Console
Nintendo built the 3DS very, very well, and the biggest proof of that is that it's yet to be properly hacked. Last year saw the release of the Gateway, an R4-like device that allowed people with a console below a certain firmware to play downloaded games. It wasn't perfect, but it was piracy, and it looked for a while like this would end up as a perfect solution for those that wanted to play games without paying.

Nintendo Direct
The Direct began with a new trailer for Super Smash Bros. The trailer has revealed the Little Mac from Punch Out will be a playable character in the game; it also appears as if a Punch Out boxing ring level may also be in the game. Many questioned if this game would ship this year, but Nintendo insists it will be available in 2014.

Nintendo Direct Announced for Tomorrow
Nintendo have announced that they'll be airing a new Nintendo Direct tomorrow, focussing on titles that'll be available by the end of Spring 2014. No further details have been released, but you can bet we'll get another long look at Donkey Kong, and maybe even a little about Kirby: Triple Deluxe. It'd be nice to learn something about Mario Golf as well, although that seems to have disappeared entirely at this point.
