Upcoming Fable Not Delayed Says Playground Games
Over the past 24 to 48 hours there have been rumours that the much anticipated new Fable titled had been pushed out of its Autumn 2026 release window, but a report out of Playground Games says this is not true. A popular media figure was the first to report that Fabled had been delayed, causing hysteria and (surprisingly) anger from fans of the franchise.
In the early morning of April 13th (Eastern Time), the official Fable Account commented on an X users post saying, “Excited to welcome you back to Albion in Autumn 2026.”

Can we take this as a 100% guarantee? Perhaps not – it wouldn’t be the first time a social media account holder made statements not aligned with the company the represent. Perhaps this person hasn’t been let in on potential delays, or perhaps it is not meant to be public knowledge yet as they company decides how to best approach the next few months. That said, it’s a pretty big coincidence to assume that right after a rumour starts about delays that the official account would post, “Autumn 2026” in a response to a user.
