Looking to spend some digital cash tomorrow, but want to make sure you're not getting entirely ripped off? Earlier this week, there were reports of high pricing on the PlayStation Store and... there still is. But it's come down to match retail stores (which is to be expected) and now shouldn't be too rough on those virtual wallets.

Was going to pick up a PlayStation 4 but suddenly felt a little nervous after hearing nightmare stories from the US launch? Don't worry. Sony UK boss Fergal Gara today revealed that they've used the small gap between the UK and US launches to fix some of the issues the system had over the pond.

Last generation was far too long, and while it allowed for the development of impressive platform-pushers like The Last of Us, it also led to reduced sales and even studio closures. Thankfully, it seems Sony will be swapping things out a little more this time around, with the PlayStation 4 lifecycle reduced over its predecessor.

Sony have revealed the apps that'll be available on the PlayStation 4 when it launches later this week. Those hoping to completely replace their PlayStation 3 will be happy to know that all the major ones are there day one, and that there will be a lot more available to download between now and Spring 2014.

There have been rumours, in the past few weeks, that Sony had bought the Crash Bandicoot IP and that they'd be reviving the franchise for the PlayStation 4. The story was actually pretty solid, consolidated by a teaser video and the removal of all references from the Activision website. According to Activision though, it was all a coincidence.

If you live in the UK, the US, or some other "major" gaming country, it can be a little hard to believe that there are some places that are yet to get some of the things we take for granted. Take PlayStation Mobile, for instance, which Sony have today announced will be making its way to several new countries in mid-December.

Sony have reset an amount of EU PlayStation Network passwords, forcing users to choose something new before they can re-access their online accounts. That's inconvenient enough, but they've done it on such a scale that there's a huge backlog of people waiting for password change emails, and Sony has no idea when they'll be caught up.

Sony are resetting countless PSN passwords as a security measure ahead of the PlayStation 4 launch next week. There also may have been attempts to break the network, although that is entirely unconfirmed (and based only on an official statement on the Sony forums). Either way, it means you may need to mess around with your account details next time you want to connect to the PSN.

The debut of the Playstation 4 has been a bit of a mixed bag, mainly due to a lack of noteworthy launch titles. So, pretty par for the course as far as new console launches are concerned. A Florida man was shot dead after a deal gone wrong over a Playstation 4, the Orlando Sentinel reports. The victim, 25-year-old Emmanuel Johnson, met up with another man at around 4:30 p.m. November 17th to haggle over the PS4. The two were originally supposed to meet near the Orlando police headquarters, but one of them decided to change the location at the last minute. When they finally met, things went from bad to worse and a shootout ensued, killing Johnson and wounding the other man. The shooting is still under investigation.
