The Last of Us is coming to PlayStation 4, and it wasn't at all unexpected. Regardless, it wasn't as easy as people might think considering it'll have taken about a year to come to shelves. How bad? Neil Druckmann, in an interview with EDGE, said that Naughty Dog "expected it to be Hell, and it was Hell."

Sony Confirmed The Last of Us PS4

Everybody has known about The Last of Us PS4 for, well, quite a while. It was turning up for pre-order in stores at the beginning of the year, and development was confirmed by a senior Sony employee last month. Stores were even accepting pre-orders and offering bonuses. The Last of Us is Coming to PS4

The Last of Us has been teased for PlayStation 4 multiple times since the console was released at the end of last year. It's no surprise either. The game was great, but suffered from some graphical issues as a result of it being made for old hardware. Naughty Dog did an absolutely amazing job hiding that fact, but occasional frame rate drops and odd lighting proved a next-gen version would be so much better. It seems that it might be happening, and sooner rather than later.

The Last of Us Movie in the Works

Sony and Naughty Dog have today announced that they'll be bringing The Last of Us to cinemas. No information about the actual adaptation has been released, although fans will be happy to know Naughty Dog are keeping hold of the reigns to make sure things don't end up completely sucking. Screen Gems (Resident Evil, Underworld) has been brought on as distributor, while Neil Druckmann, creative director on the game, will be writing the script. Naughty Dog co-presidents Evan Wells and Christophe Balestra will act as "creative architects."
