Few Japanese Role Playing Games in the last decade have grabbed me quite like Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom has. The last few JRPG's that had a huge impact on me - in terms of how much I wanted to play them compared to the other games I owned - were probably Tales of Symphonia back on the Nintendo Game Cube, and Tales of Vesperia on the Xbox 360. I've always taken a liking to the Tales franchise, but in recent years, I've been fairly disappointed in their offerings. Tales of Berseria was good, but not what I had hoped. Despite the launch of the Nintendo 3DS, they are still the most powerful handheld gaming company on the planet, and with so many great titles released in 2017, we decided to highlight a few that you might want to purchase for that video game fan in your life. Yesterday, we began our YO-KAI Watch 2 review - in partnership with Abdallah - and broke down a few things you learn within the first 20 minutes of the game. Fantasy life is an upcoming 3DS title from Level 5 studios that combines a unique blend of Animal Crossing, Final Fantasy, and Zelda elements. The game was released in Japan back in 2012 and now is set to release in EU on Sep 26th and in NA on Oct. 24th 2014. The cartoonish world of Fantasy Life is based completely on choice. From character creation, to the roles that your character will have, the life you lead in this fantasy will change with every play through. You can also switch lives at anytime so you’re not stuck being someone you don’t want to be.

Professor Layton Vs Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney was one of the games that convinced me a 3DS was worth buying. It was originally announced in 2010 and was released in Japan at the end of last year. It didn't look like it was ever going to see a Western Release. As a last minute surprise in today's Nintendo Direct, however, it was revealed that Professor Layton, Luke, Phoenix Wright and Maya Fey will be coming to western 3DS consoles early next year.
