Nintendo is the worst. They are the best, obviously, but they are the worst. During the last Nintendo Direct, we were promised a new service coming to the Wii U: Digital Wii Games. That's amazing right? While I would argue that it is, I cannot say it's what I really wanted. However, Nintendo is - and should be since they are a company - looking out for themselves and their bottom dollar, so while digital Wii games makes financial sense, having digital GameCube ...

Still no GameCube VC: Nintendo Saves the best for Remastered Editions
Funk of Titans Review
January is a pretty quiet month generally for the video game community. Most people are working through their holiday backlog so games usually don't release until February at the earliest. However, indie developer Crowd of Monsters is releasing Funk of Titans this Friday for Xbox One. This ID@Xbox game takes almost everything you love from 'runner' games on mobile and puts them on a console. While the game has its issues, the game will justify the price and ...

Sunset Overdrive: The Mystery of Mooil Rig DLC Impressions
If you remember our Sunset Overdrive review from later in December, you know that we felt this was one of the most interesting games to be released in the last little while. It's completely wacky and almost nothing makes logical sense. But that is what makes the game so damn good. Insomniac Games added to the fun with their latest DLC which came out in late December: Mystery of the Mooil Rig.

Will Microsoft Really stick to Regular Priced Xbox Ones?
With the turning of the calendar also came the end of Microsoft's 50.00 discount on Xbox One consoles. Since beginning the initiative in November, Microsoft has sold very well, often outselling the competition. So with the increase back to regular price, will Xbox be limiting their sales potential for 2015?

Forza Horizon 2: Storm Island – A Perfect 10/10 Expansion
Last week, Microsoft and Turn 10 (surprisingly) released a big expansion for Forza Horizon. This isn’t just a car pack or a collection of new racing events and bucket list challenges. Well, actually it is, but it’s a lot more than that too. Storm Island will get Forza fans playing the game again over the holiday season, and it’s definitely worth every penny and all your time. For $20.00 – or $10.00 if you have the VIP package – ...

Forza Horizon 2: Storm Island DLC Releases Today
Count me in the group of people who had no idea this was coming. Back when Forza released, I chose the regular edition over the other editions based on value-for-dollar-spent. Personally, I didn't see the value in shelling out 99.99 for the best edition. Regardless, what I saw in that edition was a pack of DLC that I wasn't interested in. Something wasn't included, and it was released today.

Halo: Master Chief Collection Review
If you own an Xbox One and have enjoyed Halo in the past, Halo: Master Chief Collection is hands down the best value for your dollar you will find on the console. I think many would have paid nearly the retail price just for Halo 2: Anniversary Edition - which is the definitive version in this bundle - but to get Combat Evolved, Halo 3, and Halo 4 is a huge bonus. If you need something to play with friends this holiday season, look no further than this Halo ...

Nintendo speaks on amiibo Availability
People are beginning to realize that certain amiibo figures are harder to find than others, most notably Marth, Animal Crossing Villager, and the Wii Fit Trainer. No one really know whether or not these are limited run figures or not, but Nintendo finally spoke on the issue. From Nintendo of Canada PR.

PDP Afterglow Karga Xbox One Headset Review
We've been reviewing a fair bit of PDP products lately and for good reason. Some we have received free for review, others we have purchased. At the end of the day, PDP is making high quality products at bargain prices, making them one of the best third party accessory producers in the last few years. We have had the privilege or reviewing the Fight Pads for Wii U and Super Smash Bros, the Afterglow Universal Wireless headset, this review for the Karga Xbox One ...

Year End Review: Nintendo Continues to Climb
We all now about Nintendo's struggles in 2013. At least, that's what too many people seem to want to focus on. However, if you look at what Nintendo put out on their systems this year, you realize that of the big three, they hands down had the best, most consistent line up of quality, problem free, AAA titles. When you examine November releases, the Playstation 4 and Xbox One titles were plagued with problems not present in Nintendo offerings this year.

Xbox Live Down Periodically Last Night thanks to Hackers
Last night, Xbox Live users were having a hard time attempting to connect online. Xbox Support was not claiming to be down, but many users were having a hard time getting things connected. Apparently, a big hacking group was behind the whole situation, and have also been behind the issues that PSN and Destiny faced earlier. The group goes by the Twitter handle of Lizard Squad, and their number one goal is to take down the online features of some of the biggest ...

Sunset Overdrive Review
Insomniac Games has developed some interesting titles in the past, so it was no shock that perhaps the wackiest game of the year was also developed by them. Despite a few minor annoyances, Sunset Overdrive might be one of the best original titles released in 2014, and potentially ever. The game mixes genres that you love - it's been a while since a Tony Hawk Game; get your fix here! - and has some of the best writing I've seen in a video game to date. If you ...

PDP Afterglow Universal Wireless Headset Review
When we were reviewing Super Smash Bros for Wii U, PDP Gaming sent us two of their Fight Pads to use while we reviewed the game. In the Fight Pad review, I stated how much I hated third party accessories; those Fight Pads - while they had their few minor issues - were outstanding to use. I recieved an email from Groupon letting me know that PDP's Afterglow Universal Wireless Headsets were on sale for 39.99, and I bit. Not only did I want a new gaming headset, ...

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker Review
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker finally gives Toad his own Mario Kingdom platform to garner a larger fan base for himself; he does almost everything right in his first, Toad-centric adventure. While Captain Toad doesn't carry the hefty price tag of some of Nintendo's other franchises, there is plenty of content here to justify a 39.99 USD price tag. If you are looking for something other than Smash Bros to play this holiday season, you may want to grab a copy of ...

Kudos Nintendo! Smash Bros Wii U fastest Selling Wii U Title
Statistics are out for Super Smash Bros Wii U, and things are looking great. In the first three days alone, Nintendo was able to move 500,000 digital and physical copies of the game, making it the fastest selling Wii U title of all time in North America. This is yet again another positive in the Wii U's problematic life time. To their credit, Nintendo has done so much right in the last year for the system, and it believe it is working.
