Cozy Stickerville Components Overview and Impressions

Cozy Stickerville is a game I knew I was going to love the second I saw a Watch It Played vide with Rodney Smith. I love video games like Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing, and Cozy Stickerville gives me these kinds of vibes! Before we get into our review of this game – in a separate article – let’s take a look at what comes in the box!

Cozy Stickerville has a nice mixture of premium components (stickers) and cardboard bits that make the entire package affordable, yet gorgeous. I always worry when games provide stickers because so often they just aren’t as good as they need to be. The stickers included in Cozy Stickerville – over 800 of them! – are fantastic. The quality is really great, and they stick nicely to the board. The game does require you to remove stickers from time-to-time, and even doing that was really simple, like a combination of a good sticker and a good board. I’ve never had a sticker rip or tear, and no marks are left on the board when stickers are removed.

In a game all about stickers, they really need to be the shining component, and they definitely are. The artwork on the stickers is great as well, from beautifully illustrated buildings and natural areas, to wonderful pets and wild animals as well. There are so many stickers to choose from, but don’t touch them yet! Your game will dictate what to place and when!

The game comes with a ton of cards, and honestly the card quality here isn’t anything to write home about. I think for the two games you will get out of this experience they are more than adequate for the experience. Better cards equals a higher cost, and since this game serves no purpose after you’ve played it through twice, it doesn’t really matter what happens to the cards as you play!

There are also a bunch of cardboard pieces to represent the game’s resources, as well as a little wooden die which will be used for a few different elements throughout the game. The box comes with a cardboard insert to store all the cards and chits, and a ‘save box’ for the cards and resources you will carry over from season to season.

Cozy Stickerville is the perfect blend of accessibility and beauty. The game works well, comes in at a great price, and you won’t have to really worry about components wearing or becoming damaged. I’m really impressed with this!
