Our Top Games from IV Studio for this Holiday Season

IV Studio is one of our favourite designers and publishers – we crowned them our favourite in 2024, and things are looking good for them in 2025 as well if we get a few more of their titles tabled! When we love a company as much as we do IV Studio, we love to talk about them and showcase their products. While IV Studio did provide review copies for almost everything here – and a few more on the way – nothing else about this post is sponsored. We just think their games rock, so let’s get into it!

You can find all of these games to purchase by visiting the IV Studio website Store!

Moonrakers – Moonrakers is a fantastic deck building negotiation game set in space. You’ll be using your cards to complete contracts, generally with the help of others at the table. Contracts will award points, money and more, and you can negotiate with other players and offer up some of the rewards should you be successful. I’ve said it previously and I’ll say it again: I generally hate negotiation games, but I absolutely love deckbuilding, and the production quality of this one drew me in! You can check out our full review of Moonrakers by clicking here!

Mythic Mischief – I’ve not yet played Mythic Mischief II, but had an absolute blast playing the first game with all the expansions. Mythic Mischief is (generally) a 2-Player experience were each player uses a unique faction to attempt and evade the Tomekeeper while having them capture the other players characters and earn you points. While there are a few fundamental rules that apply to all the factions, they also each have unique powers that make each team play wildly different than the others. Half the fun is winning the game, the other half is pulling off really satisfying turns with amazing abilities and opportunities. I’m terrible at this game, but love playing it with my wife and father-in-law. Whenever we can review Mythic Mischief II, we will, but for now I will enjoy each play of this! The production quality is amazing as well, you can check out our thoughts on that here!

Tend – This is the IV Studio game we’ve had the least amount of time with, so little in fact that we don’t even have a review up for it yet. As a lover of cozy farming games on my Nintendo Switch 2, something like Tend is bound to be up my alley. I’ve enjoy what I have played so far, and cannot wait to experience more of this one. Whether tending, chopping, mining, or fishing, it’s a lot of fun planning your turns, filling in your manifest with goods, upgrading things, and so much more. You can’t do everything in Tend, which makes it a great game to play again and again! Want to know how amazing the Deluxe production is? Check out this link!

Fractured Sky – I’m dipping my toes back into the well of “I hated this style game before I played this” but I do love being honest with readers. Area control and blinding bidding aren’t mechanics or game types I gravitate towards, but I heard too many good things about this game. We have the Super Deluxe version of the game and is is absolutely brilliant. Sometimes, production makes you try something you normally wouldn’t, and that was the case here. I would say this isn’t my favourite IV Studio game to date, but it’s definitely still a lot of fun and one I enjoy getting to the table as often as possible. If you enjoy area control and blind bidding, with a little bit of resource collection and building, this is definitely one for you! See why we enjoyed it so much by looking at our review!

We have two more IV Studio games on route to us for review, so check back to see if we think they are good enough to recommend in this holiday gift guide. If previous IV Studio games are anything to go on, we will be recommending Brink and Moonrollers as well!
