Honest Reviews. Smarter Play

Enthrone Components Overview and Impressions

There isn’t a whole going on in Enthrone but that doesn’t mean the production has to suffer. The game might only last about 20 minutes, but you’ll want to play this again and again, if not for the gameplay than for the production quality!

First and foremost, we got to talk about the central board. It folds out nicely and has a stained glass look to it. I think it makes moving between spaces a little harder than it needs to be – only for the first time – but it looks absolutely gorgeous, especially once you get the miniatures out onto it.

Yes, a 20 minute game CAN have miniatures, and this one does. These are beautifully detailed, incredibly chunky miniatures of the various characters you will be controlling and or removing from the game. Each miniatures is incredibly detailed, and if you had the time to paint them up before playing, I would recommend doing so. Even in their unpainted state, though, they pop on the table. It’s really something to look at when all set up. The game also comes with a handful of two sided plastic tokens to represent the various characters. They are nice and sturdy and I have no concerns about how long these will last being plastic, even if this becomes a game you play a few times per month; shoot, I can see you playing this a few times per seating, actually!

There is a small pack of cards included in the game as well – they are perfectly fine quality; I would sleeve them purely because there are so few of them, not necessarily because I have to!

Best of all, there is an insert in the box. I love a game with a good quality insert, and this one not only has places for all the miniatures, but spots for tokens, spots for the cards, and notched areas to place the boards. Overall, I’m quite impressed with Enthrone!
