Yo-Kai Watch

The original Yo-Kai Watch was a fantastic title that was given a Western release around 2014, and since then, the Yo-Kai Watch fever has hit a select few in the west. Unfortunately, just as Level-5 began porting over and releasing new titles on Nintendo Switch, they also closed down their North American offices, killing any hope of getting these titles localized in the west. So for longtime fans, the only way to play the remake of Yo-Kai Watch, or Yo-Kai Watch 4, is to play the Japanese version and hopefully find people to help with the translation.

YO-KAI Watch Blasters is heading west on September 7th, as announced by Level-5 today. For those clamouring for another YO-KAI Watch localization, the opportunity is coming and hopefully people generate enough interest by purchasing the game, to grant more localization efforts in the future. Despite the launch of the Nintendo 3DS, they are still the most powerful handheld gaming company on the planet, and with so many great titles released in 2017, we decided to highlight a few that you might want to purchase for that video game fan in your life. I think 2016 was fairly kind to Nintendo, despite the understanding from both consumers and media that a new system was on the horizon that would definitely kill off the Nintendo Wii U, but could also put a damper on 3DS production. Yesterday, we began our YO-KAI Watch 2 review - in partnership with Abdallah - and broke down a few things you learn within the first 20 minutes of the game. Nintendo announced today that they will be having a 3DS focused Nintendo Direct on September 1st.
