My six year old son Logan loves video games, and is falling into step with his dad nicely in that regard. He likes Mario, he likes Animal Crossing, and he loves the odd family friendly game on my Xbox One. Paper Mario games are great, although have been trending downwards since the release of The Thousand Year Door on the GameCube. The last release, Sticker Star, was lackluster to say the least, borrowing heavily from the 2D Super Mario games heavily by removing the 'open world' and replacing it with Worlds and Levels, i.e. World 1-Level 1. Fantasy Life really is a fantasy. But it's a good fantasy, and one that will take up a lot of your time. It's not everyday you get to swap between 12 different occupations, ranging from fighting to crafting to gathering, but in this charming and addictive title from Level-5, you can. Although the game struggles with some pacing issues throughout, the overall charm and depth of the game makes the smaller issues seem unimportant.
