Last weekend I had the privilege of attending the Next Level Video Game Convention in Mississauga, Ontario. Next Level is one of Canada’s newer gaming conventions, and while it is certainly on the smaller end of the scale, I believe the staff at Next Level used this to their utmost advantage. Instead of being packed into a convention hall like sardines, I had actual room to move around at Next Level VGC and never felt rushed or in someone else’s way. This combined with the wide array of features offered to make for a refreshing experience.

The Rival 710 gaming mouse from SteelSeries is a sleek, new mouse that boasts a variety of unique and high-end features such as Tactile Alerts for quick notifications, swappable parts for performance customization, split-trigger mechanical switches, TrueMove3 optical sensor for pinpoint tracking accuracy and an OLED screen for in-game stats. While this may seem a lot to pack into one mouse, at a price point of $129.99 CAD (~$100USD) one should expect to see quite a few bells and whistles attached.

The Hitman PS4 beta launched over Valentine Day’s weekend, allowing some lucky gamers the opportunity to get an idea of the gameplay that will be featured in the new title, due for release March 11.
