RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition Coming to Switch, PS5

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 is not my favourite RollerCoaster Tycoon game by any means, but I am always happy to see old franchises coming back on modern consoles. The physical complete edition of RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 is heading to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 in 2026, and despite my reservations about the game, I’m still excited to play it again!

Here is more from Atari about this anouncement:

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 brought significant changes to the beloved park simulation franchise, including a fully 3D world that replaced the classic pixelated isometric view. The game added a range of new features that elevated the roller coaster simulation experience to new heights. RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition includes all the content from the popular Soaked! and Wild! expansion packs, offering players the added challenges of creating and managing exhilarating waterparks and spectacular animal habitats. A canon within the theme park simulation franchise, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 was a hit with players, becoming the best-selling PC game on Amazon.com in its launch 2024 window and a top-five selling PC title in 2004 and 2005. It was also a hit with reviewers, garnering an 81 rating on Metacritic and nominations for several Strategy and Simulation Game of The Year awards.

The game is set to retail for 29.99 USD, so a likely 39.99 CAD price will be attached to this one. Although this is a game originally released in 2020, those looking for physical copies of the game should be happy! I’m just waiting for that mouse mode on Nintendo Switch 2! I doubt it is ever coming, especially if games like Two Point Museum don’t have it!
