HYPERPOP Dual Sense Controllers are Stunning Yet Simple
It has been a long while since I’ve upgraded or bought a new Dual Sense controller, but early last week, PlayStation Canada were generous enough to send over one of their new HYPERPOP controllers, and I was instantly amazed with the stunning, yet simple, design. I haven’t purchased a new Dual Sense controller since launch – I was still rocking the included controller that came with my PlayStation 5 review unit, and the additional white controller PlayStation provided during the review period. It was time for something new, and I am excited by it!
They HYPERPOP lineup of controllers from PlayStation is available now, featuring three colours – at retail, you will find the Techno Red, Remix Green, and Rhythm Blue. We were provided the Remix Green version, and while blue might be my favourite colour, my sons – who love green – where thrilled at what PlayStation sent over.

And these controllers definitely pop! At its core, it is still just a standard Dual Sense controller with all the bells and whistle we’ve come to expect from gamings best controller, in my opinion. What I’m really thrilled about, though, is that Sony continues to put out accessories for the PlayStation 5 that really adhere to what players are looking for. There is nothing flashy about these controls, in that they aren’t based on an IP or have cooler and better features than the original. It’s just a really cool shell on an already fantastic controller.
Hates of to PlayStation for these new controllers – they look great, and I just might need to grab the other two colours to complete my collection! I rarely display controllers, but my kids think this one is cool enough to buy a stand for. Thanks to PlayStation Canada for sending this over!
