You get a lot of copycat app games out there and most of them are lazy garbage. Now we have Micromon, a clone of Pokémon, which in all honesty is probably one of the better “influenced by” games out there. While there’s nothing even remotely original about it, I will give it credit for trying really hard to live up to the lofty quality of its originator.

It's not Mario, but Nintendo is bringing arguably their second largest franchise to iPad in 2014, and I for one could not be more excited.

If you read reactions to Peter Molyneux's latest game online, you'd probably try to steer clear. General reaction to Godus has been vaguely negative, attacking Molyneux's promises (for a change), as well as the slow pressure to buy in-app purchases. Apparently that's exactly what iOS users were hungry for, however, as the game currently has 1500 ratings and four and a half stars on the app store.

The announcement that the original Bioshock would be coming to iOS was met with mixed reaction - people either hated it or wondered why it wasn't coming to Vita (although the answer is obvious: nothing is coming to Vita). It's such an odd reveal, one that nobody asked for and that few people can get their head around. Hardcore, premium priced mobile games can work, XCOM proved that, but Bioshock isn't a turn-based strategy game, it's an action heavy shooter. Bioshock, the underwater shooter that had everybody on the internet using the phrase "would you kindly" at bemused non-gamers, is coming to iPhone and iPad. Yes, you read that correctly: one of the most notable console experiences of last generation is going to be entirely playable on your iOS device. It isn't even April.

Remember when slot cars were the coolest thing? You laid out the track on your bedroom floor, placed the cars in the slots, grabbed the wired, one button controller, and watched your little vehicle fly around the track. Remember having to be careful around the corners to avoid having your slot car go flying off the track, requiring you to replace it? Good news. You can now enjoy both the delight and frustration you once felt while playing slot cars on your Window's Phone via Over Volt, a new title from Interactive Project.

Zen Pinball has paved the way for what pinball should feel like on your phone or tablet; they have set the bar for what good pinball is. Legendo Entertainment has their own Pinball client, but chose to release a standalone project: FCB Pinball, the official pinball app of the Barcelona Football Club.

Free-to-play titles are always difficult to review. Should they be reviewed without using in app purchases, or does a little money need to be spent to truly understand the game? Personally, I have my own way of doing reviews for these types of games. It is a simple formula, really. If the game lasts for more then a few days on my iPad, it's probably decent. If I play it more than a week, it's an excellent game. Warfare Nations falls somewhere in between.

Bubble Blaze is a (very) casual game for Android and IOS devices. The game offers not much in ways of innovation but seems to rely on its cute art style and simple but fun game mechanic.
