Myst Developers New Game Obduction Meets Kickstarter Goal

Remember Myst, the PC game developed by Cyan? It was one of the first games that put CD-ROM gaming on the map. It became a household name when it launched in 1993, and spawned numerous sequels. It was an incredibly difficult adventure game that many feel is still one of the best in the genre, and a game that some developers cite as being a critical influence to their work. It's probably for these reasons that Cyan's new title called Obduction successfully met ...

I’ve always had one major problem with it, though – downloads pause while playing. Countless times I’ve wanted play something while I download a couple of titles in order to scratch them off my backlog, but no such luck. Thankfully, the most ...

Aero Porter Review

I've always been fond of games that can take a seemingly dull aspect of life and make it interesting. During the Summer, Lucas Pope managed to make stamping documents thrilling in Papers, Please (one of my favorites this year), but in 2012 the hectic job of sorting luggage at an airport was turned into addicting entertainment with Aero Porter on the 3DS.

Blizzard Trademarks Warlords of Draenor

Blizzard has filed a trademark for Warlords of Draenor, according to a post on MMO Champion. If this turns out to be an actual game, it more than likely is another expansion for World of Warcraft (Draenor is the orc's homeland). Adding further proof to this rumor is the fact warlordsofdraenor.com was registered over a month ago. However, this new domain comes with a couple of problems. For one, it was purchased on Go Daddy, which is not a place major businesses ...

Liberation Maiden Review

Goichi Suda (or Suda51, as he's most commonly known) has to be one of the oddest developers in the industry. His games, like Killer7 and No More Heroes, are filled with unique ideas, subversive and absurd writing, and gameplay that isn't exactly the easiest to grasp. Even when he takes a straight-forward approach there's always a little something off, which is exactly the case with his contribution to Level-5's Guild01 game compilation, Liberation Maiden.
