Honest Reviews. Smarter Play

I’m Hooked on Disney Dreamlight Valley Thanks to Wishblossom Ranch

Between the release of the last two DLC packs for Disney Dreamlight Valley, I took a really long hiatus from the game. It wasn’t that the game wasn’t fun anymore, but other priorities starting creeping in. We had a ton of Nintendo games to review, a lot of board games to finish, and so much more. Unfortunately, Disney Dreamlight Valley was just push to the backburner, and eventually it just fell off the stove.

Puns aside, sometimes it takes a really good DLC review to get you back into an experience, and I think Wishblossom Ranch is definitely doing that for me. What is shocking to me, though, is that I’m actually spending most of my time working through the current Star Path as opposed to exploring deeper into the ranch. Wishblossom Ranch got me back into the game, but it’s not what is keeping me coming back day-in and day-out.

I’ve begun enjoying the characters and their stories again, it’s the addition of horses perhaps, and the thrill of completing tasks and unlocking new items. For one reason or another, I’m actively participating in Dreamlight Challenges, doing Boutique challenges, and logging in each day just to see what new items Scrooge might have in his shop. I might not be playing for long every single day, but I am logging in to do all of those things.

Again, it’s the power of good DLC. This has happened to me a lot lately, with games like Two Point Museum and Age of Empires. New DLC comes out, and whether or not I’m actually playing the new content or not, I’m back to remembering why I loved the experience to begin with. We will be producing more content around Disney Dreamlight Valley in the coming weeks, so stay tuned, but let me tell you: if you cooled on the experience over time, may be this DLC is the right moment to get back into it!
