More Thoughts From Me: Beautiful Visions of Mana
I had played a demo of Visions of Mana but hadn’t had the chance to play the full game. Then yesterday, it came to Xbox Game Pass. I downloaded it and played it some. Here are my thoughts on Visions of Mana so far.

I remember really enjoying the Visions of Mana demo and thought I’d probably like the full game. I wasn’t prepared for how much I liked it!
When I started the full version of Visions of Mana on Xbox Game Pass yesterday, I was blown away. The graphics, first of all, stunned me. I remember them being good on the demo but wow, oh wow. I was struck by the beauty of areas that the demo did not show and how well designed the characters, enemies, and everything is. It’s absolutely breathtaking.
Of course, no game can live just on beauty. The gameplay in Visions of Mana is excellent too. I really like the action combat and most of all, I love the exploration in the game. I was running around the first town finding so many things but then got out into the world and found even more! Its amazing how you can wander off the path and find hidden items and treasure chests everywhere. The map will give you clues for where to find things.
You do have to be careful though because you can wander into enemies that’ll kill you fast or into dungeons where you’ll die fast. Thankfully there are a lot of saves. whew.

The voice acting in Visons of Mana is really good and the music is just as beautiful as the graphics. I’m also enjoying this game’s story a lot. The characters are very likable, and the plotline has a complex and interesting narrative with some weight. The prologue is very sad and then things get happy but you feel like at any moment, things will get dark again. Visions of Mana is an amazing game so far.
I’m so glad that this game came to Xbox Game Pass. I wasn’t sure if I’d ever get to play it. Thank you Xbox and Square Enix for bringing this game to the platform. I really love Visions of Mana and can’t wait to play even more of it.
More Thoughts From Me is an opinion column. The thoughts presented here are mine and mine alone. Visions of Mana is definitely my favorite Mana game so far.
