Ellen Page Nudes Cause Problems For Sony

There’s a scene in Beyond: Two Souls in which Ellen Page takes a shower. A shower is hardly sexually charged, of course, and nothing is actually shown in-game, but for all intents and purposes, Ellen Page is naked on screen. It is, at best, a minor titillation for people looking to be titillated. 

That was until someone with a debug console hunted out the model and found that it had been fully formed, and leaked images of the Inception actress nude.

Page’s lawyers have been getting the pictures taken down from the various websites that were hosting them, and I can’t believe for a second that this was something anyone involved in managing her career thought might happen. That the model was created in that much detail in the first place might be considered a little dodgy – that is, if the actress never gave permission – but that it wasn’t blocked from public view and that the camera can be fully controller during that scene with certain debug options set is a massive oversight.

Despite best efforts, the pictures are now out there and will be near impossible to get rid of. Considering mixed scores for BEYOND: Two Souls, the Last of Us Ellie/Ellen Page “coincidence” and now these leaked nudes, I do have to wonder what Page’s current thoughts towards Sony are.
