PlayStation Pricing Changes in Canada
PlayStation Canada is lettings consumers know that there are going to be price increases on PlayStation products in Canada that come into effect on April 2, 2026. This news comes on the heels of Nintendo also announcing pricing changes on their products.
I could be wrong, but these mid-generation pricing changes are wild, and not something we generally see over the lifecycle of a console. Some of this is obviously due to a volatile world, where politics, tariffs, and more are causing the prices of everything to rise for consumers, including luxury goods.
Per PlayStation,
The change has been made after careful evaluation and is a necessary step to ensure the continued deliverance of innovative, high-quality gaming experiences to players worldwide.
The updated pricing for the PlayStation 5 in Canada is as follows:
Standard – 819.99 CAD
Digital – 749.99 CAD
PS5 PRO – 1099.99
The PlayStation Portal is also getting a slight price increase to 319.99 CAD.
