DigDigDrill Review

Do you like games where you dig, like Dig Dug or Steamworld Dig? Then you may be interested in DigDigDrill for Nintendo Switch! Here’s our review!

DigDigDrill really doesn’t have any kind of story. You play as a drill and you dig under the ground. You collect resources to upgrade your drill so that you can keep digging deeper and deeper underground. You are aiming for floor 999. The game’s progress is auto-saved.

The game is pretty simple overall, though if you enjoy games like Steamworld Dig or Dig Dug, then this may be up your alley.

The controls for the drill are easy, you just press down on the left joystick and your drill into the ground. You just push up to go back to the surface or down to keep going down. You’ll find blocks, ores, enchants and more that will help upgrade your drill and make progression in the game easier. The controls make the game fun and enjoyable. You can very easily get lost for hours in this game just digging.

Its definitely a simple game and that also includes its graphics being simple.

The graphics in DigDigDrill are similar to early 8-bit games. It almost looks like an Atari game. Its just a tad better than Atari. We would say early NES. Though it definitely has more blocks and levels then any of those early games would’ve had.

DigDigDrill is a simple game but that doesn’t mean its a bad game. In fact, the game is a lot of fun, especially if you’re a Dig Dug or Steamworld Dig fan. DigDigDrill is absolutely catering to a certain audience. We dug it though.
