Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade (Switch 2) Impressions
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade came out on the Nintendo Switch 2 recently. We have been playing the game for review and has some impressions of it.
I played Final Fantasy 7 Remake on the Playstation 4. I never got to play the Intergrade version because I don’t have a PS5. So I was extremely happy when the game was announced for Switch 2 and even happier when Square Enix gave us a copy for review.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade looks really great on the Nintendo Switch 2. I have been playing it both on my television set and in handheld mode.The game looks best on the TV but it looks pretty good in handheld too.
The Switch 2 version isn’t without some issues though. In the Intergrade mode, I have noticed when Yuffie is wandering around in the town that there is a lot of pop-in. People will just suddenly appear before Yuffie and her companion a lot. I also ran into one glitch where I fell off of a platform during a battle and ended up in a completely dark area that I couldn’t get out of. I had to go back to my save.
That said the cutscenes if the main game and the side game look incredible. So do all of the battles. The game easily goes from exploring to battles with no load times at all. In fact, there doesn’t seem to be much loading at all with this game. Despite any issues, the game is running really well on Switch 2 so far.
And I absolutely love the Intergrade mode. Yuffie has a really unique combat style and I like upgrading the weapons. Also, I’m super addicted to the Fort Condor mini-game. Its so cool!
Overall, I’m having blast with Final Fantasy 7 Remake on the Switch 2. I can’t wait to play Rebirth on the Switch 2 because I’ve never played that game and it looks even better than Remake (and that’s saying a lot).
