Have you ever dreamed of opening your own traveling shop? What about being an animal in a community of other animals? What do you get when you cross Animal Crossing with Harvest Moon and a shop on wheels? Cozy Caravan may be the answer but is it any fun? Here’s our review of Cozy Caravan for the Nintendo Switch!

In Cozy Caravan you play as an animal that you choose at the beginning and name. This animal can walk and talk much like a human as Animal Crossing animals do. The other characters in the game are animals too. You are part of a guild and you travel via a caravan to sell items, mostly food, as you go. There are market days on the weekend and every other day is a traveling or quest day. The days in Cozy Caravan progress quickly. At the end of each day, you set up camp wherever you are and then go to bed by going into the caravan. You’ll often get messages from the guild master telling you how you are doing or hinting at where you should go next.

Cozy Caravan is a sim game in the same genre as something like Harvest Moon, a game where you interact with different characters, take on quests, and always come back to the key gameplay aspect, which in this case is selling things.

Selling is quick and easy to do. You get out your items, put them on a table one at a time and someone either picks them up and looks at it or they don’t. If they decide to buy it, they’ll take it over to the check out quick and you press a button to make the sale and then its back to the other table. The selling goes quickly but not so quickly that the player feels too rushed.

The controls in Cozy Caravan are pretty easy over all. Driving the caravan is simple, though turning around can feel a bit cumbersome at times. You can upgrade your caravan and take on many different quests and there’s a lot to see in this game. It is easy to get lost sometimes and the selling can feel a little repetitive.

Cozy Caravan is pretty fun for the most part. If you like games like Harvest Moon, then you’ll enjoy this game. Its best in small doses. And its pretty cute looking too.

Cozy Caravan has a really nice, cute graphics. The camera is slightly overhead but there’s plenty of detail and neat things to see in this game. The soundtrack is fine, although nothing too special.

Overall, Cozy Caravan is another great sim game that fans of Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing will enjoy. Its not as great as those games but it does bring its own charm and fun gameplay to the table. Nintendo Switch owners should give this a look if they need a new sim game to check out.

Thanks to Plan of Attack for providing a digital code for this review. Cozy Caravan is now available on Nintendo Switch 1 and 2.
