The Value in Disney Cruise Line
Disney Cruise Line vacations are not inexpensive, but the value you get on a cruise is definitely worth it in my opinion. We have been enjoying the entertainment on Disney Cruise Line for well over a decade, and next week we sail for the first time as Platinum guests! But why do I think there is so much value? Let’s take a look!
First and foremost, this is not about which cruise line is best. I’ve only ever sailed on Disney, but some of what I say here probably applies to all cruise lines. And as an entertainment focused website, I’ll obviously focus on all the entertainment options available! There are things you are going to get on every cruise line: unlimited food, on some unlimited drinks, and so much to do and places to visit. Disney, though, adds so much more for old and young alike.
My wife and I love attending Disney trivia sessions each and every day. When we aren’t doing that, you can find us enjoying time in a themed bar like Skipper Society or Scat Cat Lounge. When that doesn’t suit our fancy, perhaps it’s a new release Disney movie at the movie theatre, or a Broadway style show in the Walt Disney Theatre. We recently saw Moana, and thought it was fantastic!
The characters are also a real hit. Last time we went, we brought Disney Lorcana with us, and had characters sign their cards that we had collected. When waiting in line, other cruise guests thought this was the greatest idea, and by the end of the cruise I saw other people doing it as well. My kids really enjoy seeing the characters, and if you are a Disney fan, it’s definitely the best way to view characters; you can go ahead and skip them at the parks!
Add in your food, amazing kids clubs with themed areas like Star Wars, Marvel and more, and VERY comfortable place to lay your head each night, and so much more we didn’t touch on, and you have a fantastic vacation all planned for you!
