Wishblossom Ranch Pulled Me Back Into Disney Dreamlight Valley
I’ve taken a fairly extended break from playing Disney Dreamlight Valley, but because I didn’t enjoy the game, but because there have been so many other competing priorities. Gameloft has given me the chance to review the Wishblossom Ranch DLC on Nintendo Switch, and this was a great opportunity to get back into the game and get back to the grind.

So far, Wishblossom Ranch has been fairly enjoyable. I enjoy the larger area to explore, and while I haven’t explored it all yet, what I have galloped through has been pretty open. With time, I can fill up this area with houses and decorations, so in one way I should be looking at this as a blank canvas with room to grow. The addition of mounts makes getting around this new area so much more enjoyable, but the mounted companions haven’t been nearly as helpful in my other, more dense worlds. May be as I move houses around and free up space in specific areas, the mounts will become more useful in other ways, but right now I seem to be using them exclusively at the ranch.
I enjoy the idea of adding well known Disney horses to the game, but I don’t enjoy that each horse is tailored to do something different. I would prefer to have these other horses as collectibles and give all the horses all the powers. Even if unlocking powers was locked to the collection of specific horses for story and world purposes, I still wish the powers just translated across all the different mounts. It is super easy to swap between mounts, but that doesn’t mean I want to do it. This might be a small gripe for most people, but right now it’s the thing I enjoy the least about Wishblossom Ranch.

Other than that, it’s been mostly fantastic. The characters on offer here – Snow White, Cruella, Tickerbell, and Tigger – are all fine options. I’m a big Winnie the Pooh fan so Tigger is an amazing add, and I do enjoy having Tinkerbell around. Snow White and Cruella, however, aren’t really characters I care a whole lot about. Snow White’s voice seems unnaturally high, doesn’t it?
I will have more on the Wishblossom Ranch DLC in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
