Disney Dreamlight Valley: Wishblossom Ranch Impressions
Disney Dreamlight Valley released it latest paid DLC expansion last week. We’ve been playing it and have impressions of it so far.

I just want to start off by saying that I am a huge fan of Disney Dreamlight Valley. I absolutely love this game. My hype for Wishblossom Ranch was huge. Has the DLC delivered? Here are my thoughts so far:
On Wednesday last week, I bought the Wishblossom Ranch DLC for Disney Dreamlight Valley. I decided to get the Deluxe version because I really wanted Sven, the reindeer from Frozen, who came with that bundle.
I started playing it a little, liked it, and then took a break. I came back later and…the game wouldn’t start at all. Not just the DLC. The whole game wouldn’t start at all. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t get the game to load. I kept getting an error. I talked to the game’s support service and they said they were aware of the problem and it was being looked into. From Wednesday afternoon until Friday morning, I could not play the game at all.

Finally on Friday morning, without any update I could see, the game started working again. And so I started playing the DLC again.
I’ve been enjoying Wishblossom Ranch a lot too. The new DLC adds ridable horses, four new characters, a big new area to explore, a new story, and tons of new items. The story so far has been good. I really like Snow White, the horses I’ve met, Tinkerbell and especially Tigger. Cruella is okay I guess. Riding around with horses is amazing for the most part.
I don’t walk around much in Disney Dreamlight Valley anymore. Walking seems so slow when you can ride a horse around. The galloping is a lot of fun. Your horse can also jump over obstacles and you can upgrade them to help you mine, dig, harvest stuff, and get rid of stuff.
Are horses perfect? Almost but I have run into a couple of annoying things. The thing that pops up the most is when you mine, sometimes the game’s camera gets way too close and you can see through the horse. It can be difficult sometimes to see what you are doing when you mine. Also, one time, Maximus the horse from Tangled got stuck in one spot and couldn’t move anywhere. I had to quit the game to unstick him.

Other than those issues and the first issue I ran into, I have really loved the Wishblossom Ranch DLC. The game and DLC even look great on the Switch 2!
Disney Dreamlight Valley is a very good game, though it definitely has its issues on the Switch. Its not just the DLC, I’ve run into freezing issues in the past with the main game. I’m not sure I would recommend it on Nintendo Switch. That said, I really love the game and the characters and all the various DLC packs. I will keep playing it and keep buying the DLC. Well, as long as the game keeps working for me.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is available now on the Nintendo Switch eShop. The Wishblossom Ranch DLC is available now too.
