Its Halloween week and you what’s perfect for this time of year: games about witches! Even if its a cute game about witches. ILA: Frosty Glide is out now and we got to review it for Nintendo Switch. Is this game to check out this week?

In ILA: Frosty Glide you play as Ila, a young witch, who has lost her cat Coco. And so she goes in search of him and is determined to bring him back home.

That’s the full story of ILA Frosty Glide. It has some dialogue but overall, you’ll be exploring the game’s environment, looking for clues about the lost kitty. The game is definitely the most important thing about ILA.

As Ila, you’ll run around in a slightly overhead, partly 3D and partly 2D environment. Frosty Glide is a platformer but you’re character will also ride a broom and fly across far areas.

Ila can only ride her broom for short moments. You’ll jump on the broom and have to press a button speed her up in order to get her across far platforms. It can be a little tricky and sometimes frustrating when you almost make it to the other side and then fall to a bottomless pit before just getting there. 

Thankfully there is no dying in this game. You’ll just be reset to the platform that you originally left from. The controls are simple, but the short lived flying adds a bit of occasional challenge to the game.

Overall, ILA Frosty Glide is fun and if you want something that’s a bit laid back, with a little bit of challenge and a cute Halloween vibe, you could do worse than this game.

The graphics in ILA Frosty Glide are cute and nice. This isn’t a game that pushes the Switch or Switch hardware. Its just a cute platformer.

If you are looking for a fun game to play this Halloween and don’t care about scares, then you might want to play ILA Frosty Glide. The story and gameplay are cute and it does offer some challenge in the way of the broom travel. The game isn’t too frustrating though. This is a game that anyone of any age could pick up and play. Sometimes its just nice to enjoy a cozy platformer.
