Nintendo Direct Announced for Friday (9/12/25)
Nintendo has announced a Direct for this Friday, September 12th, 2025. Check out the information below along with some speculation from us.
A Nintendo Direct will air this Friday, September 12th, 2025 at 8am central time. The Direct will cover Switch and Switch 2 games and be “roughly” 60 minutes!
Yes the Direct will be giant Direct. Nintendo always fits a lot of games into a small amount of time so we should be in store for lots of games on Friday! This is a regular Direct so this one will feature games published by Nintendo, third party developers, and perhaps some indies too.
We should get a launch date for Metroid Prime 4 Beyond, Final Fantasy 7 Intergrade, and more! It should also be noted that Nintendo didn’t say that the Direct was just focused on games coming this year. So its very likely that we’ll see games like the new Tomodachi Life and perhaps some 2026 surrpises.
Do I think they’ll show Animal Crossing for Switch 2? Honestly I don’t think that they’ll show that game. I still don’t believe that we will get a new Animal Crossing next year. I’m usually wrong about these things so watch them show off a new AC game and announce it for 2026!
I do think we’ll see a lot of third party games, many from Square Enix, Capcom, Ubisoft, and of course Microsoft. I think the Direct will start with a surprise and end with one. “One more thing…”
If the “One More Thing…” is Animal Crossing, I will lose my mind I can promise you that.
