Nintendo Direct Announced for 7.31.25
Nintendo has announced a Direct for tomorrow, July 31st, 2025. We have the details so far below!
A Nintendo Direct Partner showcase has been announced for tomorrow, July 31st, 2025 at 8 am central. The Direct will be 25 minutes long and focus on information from Nintendo’s third party publishing partners. Both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 games will be shown.
And thats all we know so far!
What third party publishers could we see? Well, its very likely that we’ll see games from Ubisoft, Atlus, Capcom, Komani, Square Enix, Namco, and Microsoft is likely too. Sony is also a possibly too. Its unlikely we’ll see any games from Nintendo themselves, unless its a third party developed game like Hyrule Warriors. We won’t see Metroid Prime 4 or any Nintendo published games during this Direct.
I’m unsure of what actual games they’ll show off but things like Metaphor, Expedition 33, Persona Reload, Metal Gear Solid Delta, and just about anything from Square Enix is possible. We don’t have a release date for Final Fantasy 7 Remake yet so its possible that it will be shown during the Direct. We shouldn’t forget about the original Switch though. Final Fantasy Tactics is an upcoming Switch release from Square Enix and might be shown again.
Nintendo’s directs are known for shadow dropping things too, so we may get an indie or smaller third party out tomorrow. We’ll likely see some kind of demo too. Personally I’d love to see any Switch 2 demos they can send our way. There are only about three Switch 2 demos at the moment. We need more!
Finally, while 25 minutes doesn’t seem long, its actually pretty big for a Partner Direct. Nintendo always puts a lot of games in their Directs. It should be great!
