Celebrate MAR10 Day with the New LEGO Super Mario – Mario & Standard Kart Set

MAR10 Day, the annual holiday in celebration of the world’s most fantastic plumber-superhero, Mario, just got a whole lot more thrilling. The LEGO Group has unveiled a fresh, adrenaline-pumping new addition to its Super Mario product line: the LEGO Super Mario – Mario & Standard Kart set. The 1,972-piece build-and-display vehicle will bring the high-speed fun of Mario Kart right into your living room.

For both LEGO fans and enthusiasts of the legendary Nintendo franchise, the set is every bit a fantasy. Bringing the classic Standard Kart of Mario into brick life, the model itself features stunning detail accuracy, remaining true to the legendary racing title. The pack features a poseable LEGO Super Mario character with a moving head and arms for dynamic posing and display.

But the magic is really in the display stand. It is shaped to fit the kart at an angle and adds the exhilaration of a mid-race drift, life to the setting. Picture Mario, leaning into a hairpin turn, preparing to take the checkered flag.

This is not a toy; it’s a collector’s piece. Designed for adult builders 18 and up, the set provides a challenging and rewarding building experience. The completed Standard Kart model stands over 8.7 inches tall, 12.6 inches long, and 7.5 inches wide, and it’s a big and dramatic display piece.

The LEGO Super Mario: Mario Kart – Mario & Standard Kart (SKU 72037) launches on May 15, 2025, at LEGO.ca, LEGO retail stores, and select Canadian retailers. It is a premium set for serious enthusiasts and collectors priced at $219.99 CAD. Full details here
