More Thoughts From Me: The Year of Square Enix
Its been a really great year for Square Enix. Let’s talk about it!
Earlier this year, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth came out. I didn’t get a chance to play that since I don’t have a PS5. That said, the game looked amazing.
Then Visions of Mana came out in August, Romancing Saga 2 remake, and pretty soon Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D.
Its been great year for Square Enix. The publisher/developer is at the top of their game, producing massive and amazing triple A games like Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and Visions of Mana and not only that but jaw dropping remakes like Romancing Saga 2 and Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D. Plus bringing games like Fantasian Neo Dimension to consoles!
If we’re being honest, Square Enix has been doing great for years now with titles like Dragon Quest 11 S, the various Dragon Quest spinoffs, Final Fantasy 16, Harvestella, Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters, and more. From smaller titles, to remakes, remasters, and massive big budget games, Square Enix is one of the best publishers/developers out there.
Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D is the game I’m looking forward to the most. What a way to end the year! It still stuns me that Dragon Quest is getting the HD-2D treatment. I loved Octopath Traveler 2, Triangle Strategy, and Live A Live. The HD-2D graphical style is so good. Add to that the traditional turn-based gameplay and Dragon Quest! Wow.
Square Enix is having a great year. I can’t wait to see what they do next year!
