Epic Mickey Rebrushed Demo Impressions
A demo for Epic Mickey Rebrushed recently came out. I checked it out on both the Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series and have some impressions of both.
Epic Mickey Rebrushed had a demo released this week. I checked it out on both the Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series. Here are my impressions of what the game was like on both systems.
NINTENDO SWITCH
When I first started the demo for Epic Mickey on the Nintendo Switch, the audio seemed very low. I had to turn it up a bit via the setting and it was a bit better. Graphics wise, Epic Mickey looks really good on the Switch.
It also plays well too. Using the ZR and ZL button, one for paint and one for thinner, is really easy and fun. Jumping and moving around works better than Wii too. Also you can move the camera around with the right stick! Wow. I liked this a lot.
How is the Xbox Series version though?
XBOX SERIES
Oh my gosh.
Okay, I love playing games on the Switch. I love portable mode. That said…
The graphics on the Xbox Series demo of Epic Mickey Rebrushed looked fantastic. From the cutscenes to the actual gameplay, the glow up on Xbox is amazing!
And the gameplay is better on Xbox too. I really liked it on Switch but the way the Xbox triggers, one for paint and one for thinner, were used felt so much better. Moving around and jumping felt perfect too. It was so great to see Epic Mickey looking and playing this good.
MY FAVORITE
If I was buying the game I’d go with the Switch version because I love playing in portable mode. However, if you want the best graphics and the best controls, absolutely be on the lookout for the Xbox Series version. Its so good.
In the end, I loved playing this game on the Switch and Xbox Series. It was so much fun to be playing Epic Mickey again. Both demos played better than the game did on Wii and I say that as someone who loved the game on the Wii.
Epic Mickey Rebrushed is going to be an absolute treat when it comes out. Check out the demo now!
Epic Mickey Rebrushed will be released for the Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X/S on September 24th, 2024
