The Karate Kid: Street Rumble Official Reveal Trailer
Wax on, Wax off. The Karate Kid has been one of those trilogy of movies that kids of the 80s have a lot of nostalgia for. Its spawned new movies (another one next year) and a Netflix series. So why not a video game? Yes, Karate Kid pixel art beat ’em up has been revealed today. Take a look at the reveal trailer for the game and then come back for our thoughts on it.
I kid you not: last night I was watching the last Karate Kid movie with Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan. And then this morning, a video game based on the original trilogy of movies was announced and revealed. The universe works in mysterious ways!
While I do like the more recent Karate Kid, I definitely have a bunch of nostalgia for the original trilogy and of course I love Cobra Kai. So to say that I’m excited for The Karate Kid: Street Rumble is an understatement. Wow does it look good.
When I was younger, I loved platformers and beat ’em ups the most. I’m so happy to see the pixel art beat ’em up genre come back. First it was with TMNT Shredder’s Revenge, then we got a G.I. Joe beat ’em up announced, then the Power Rangers, and now The Karate Kid.
Street Rumble looks like so much fun. Characters from all the movies, set pieces that look like the first one and possibly the third too. I have to play this game on the Nintendo Switch. I just have to!
The Karate Kid Street Rumble comes out September 20th, 2024 and it’ll be on Nintendo Switch and other systems.
What do you think of The Karate Kid: Street Rumble? Are you excited for it?
