Intrepid Izzy is an action platformer for the Xbox Series. Is it a good game or a bad game? Here is our review of Intrepid Izzy!

Intrepid Izzy is an action platformer where you play as a girl named Izzy who travels through different areas defeating monsters and grabbing loot. There is a story to the game but its pretty simplistic and once the game gets going, it doesn’t matter. Izzy is all about discovering new areas and grabbing loot.

The gameplay is fun, but sometimes it can get pretty challenging. There are a lot of save points and you better make sure to save when you can. A small mistake can set you back a little bit.

The platforming is good, though jumping can be a bit sensitive at times. You can easily jump over a platform that you meant to jump onto. There are also costumes to get that give you other abilities, which is neat. And there are some cool arcade mini-games to find in the first city too!

As for the graphics, Intrepid Izzy is a nice looking 2D platformer. The characters are well designed and the environments are simple but still good.

Overall, Intrepid Izzy is a neat throwback to the old days of 2D platformers. It does have a slightly Metroidvania feel to it, but its very focused on platforming and acting, with a dash of puzzles here and there.  If you love the 2D platformer genre, then you may want to check this out.
