Zombies and More
The Resident Evil Saga is one of the most known in the gaming world, with it having span movies, series, and of course videogames. Known as Biohazard in its native Japan, Resident Evil is Capcom’s most successful video game franchise, with over 110 million copies sold worldwide up until March of this year.
The most famous and influential horror and zombie video game series, the series has evolved from tense enclosed space, third-person view gameplay, to more action-packed over-the-shoulder shooting gameplay. The last game released, Resident Evil Village, and its predecessor Resident Evil 7, took the games back to their old more horror than action style, a change that has been welcomed by fans.
Nothing is True, Everything is Permitted
The Creed that upholds the Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed is a more modern saga than Resident Evil, yet that hasn’t stopped it from being one of the most famous and influential series in gaming. Spanning twelve main series video games, seventeen spin-off games, many novels, short films, and transmedia projects, the struggle between the Assassins and the Templars has served to spark the interest of many not only in its gameplay but in world history.
After the fire that burnt down Notre Dame cathedral in Paris, restorers used the files in one of the franchise’s games, Assassin’s Creed Unity, as the base to rebuild the cathedral to its former glory, thanks to the detail put into the recreation of the famous building in-game.

One of the franchises that shaped modern RPG games, the Final Fantasy saga has come a long way from being Square-Enix’s last attempt at getting back on their financial feet, to becoming one of the highest-grossing and influential series in gaming.
Spanning multiple movies, anime adaptations, mangas, tons of spin-off games, and fifteen main games in the whole series, the story is always different, as each game in the franchise presents itself in a different fictional universe from their brothers. Having given birth to some of the best known characters in the gaming world, such as Sephiroth, Cloud, Yuna, Lightning, and many others, Final Fantasy has shaped the imagination of millions of fans.
