H5 Domino Creations Review

Everyone loves to setup dominos in a long row and then knock them down. While I was never good at it – lack steady hands and all that – I had to get down on the floor with my kids once the kids decided they really wanted to start laying out dominos. Because of all the screaming in the background, I wasn’t able to shoot a video worth showing, but think about dominos lined up, and you’ll understand what’s going on here. But there is something more to this set…

H5 is in reference to Lily Hevesh, famous dominos YouTuber:

Hevesh created her YouTube channel Hevesh5, a reference to her being the fifth member of the family, in 2009 at the age of 10. As of March 2021, her YouTube channel has 3 million subscribers and 1 billion views. Her first viral video, “INSANE Domino Tricks!”, was posted in 2013 and had over 163 million views in March 2021.

After watching her channel, I was ready to get down and try to replicate even a fraction of what she was able to do, and I wasn’t all that bad at it! Here is a bit of what you will get in the pacakge:

Design, build, topple! Have a blast and learn to make domino art with this set of 100 dominoes and accessories from Lily Hevesh, the #1 Domino artist in the world! Domino Creations includes easy-to-follow directions with full-color photographs that will have you building awesome chain reaction designs in no time. Keep on building!

  • DOMINOES AND ACCESSORIES INCLUDED: This Lily Hevesh Domino Creations set includes 100 colorful dominoes, accessories and easy-to-follow instructions.
  • DESIGN COUNTLESS BUILDS: This complete set allows you to build numerous custom domino art creations.
  • FUN FOR ALL AGES: Kids and adults alike will enjoy creating design projects and watching them tumble. Set ’em up and knock ’em down!
  • STEAM-BASED HOBBY AND ART FORM: Domino Creations encourages critical thinking, math skills and so much more. For 1 or more players, ages 5 and up.

This isn’t just your run-of-the-mill set of coloured dominos, however. Included in the set is also two half bridges, and various length boards to use when making platforms and bridges. While I thought it would be a quick take out and play kind of toy, my kids have been taking it out a few times per week since we got it about a month ago, and are having an absolute blast. If anyting, this set will make you want to purchase more!

The set even comes with a template for you to use when laying out dominos, setup so you place the pieces exactly the right distance a part to maximize distance. That alone for me and my lack of steady hands, makes this set completely worth it. My kids have been enjoying it, and yours can too! Check it out!
