Three Most Challenging Castle Nathria Bosses: General Info and Fighting Tips
The ten bosses you will have to fight in the latest World of Warcraft raid of Shadowlands’ Castle Nathria include:
- Shriekwing.
- Huntsman Altimor.
- Hungering Destroyer.
- Artificer Xy’Mox.
- Sun King’s Salvation.
- Lady Inerva Darkvein.
- The Council of Blood.
- Sludgefist.

The evil Sire Denathrius aside, the three most challenging encounters to expect in this raid are Huntsman Altimor, The Council of Blood, and Sludgefist. Let us take a closer look at each of them and see what makes those so tricky.
Huntsman Altimor. Even though the fight itself employs some very simple mechanics, Huntsman with his three minion beasts is no easy feat. It is a two-target encounter where each of the Huntsman’s hellish pets has its own set of abilities.
General tips: Proper positioning is key here, and the healers must be on alert full time.
The Council of Blood. Featuring lethal mechanics and some nasty overlaps, this one is a fierce bunch to fight. There are three mighty allies on the Council, each with their health pool and unique set of abilities. The recommended order of killing them is as follows: Baroness Frieda, Castellan Niklaus, and Lord Stavros.
General tips: Kill the add that protects the bosses as quickly as you can. Interrupt Frieda’s every blast of anima. Dodge the dancers and avoid their explosions.
Sludgefist. Even in Normal mode, Sludgefist is one of the hardest bosses to defeat due to his tightly tuned DPS check and deadly one-shot mechanics. Fighting him requires good positioning, fast coordination between the players, and excellent cooldown and Bloodlust optimization.
General tips: Do not let the boss near the pillars. When chained to another player, do not move far away from one another as it will result in both of you dying. Make sure to quickly move out of the Destructive Stomp encircling the boss.
