Oceanhorn 2 Will Be Available on the Nintendo Switch On October 28th

The first Oceanhorn was an slightly overhead Zelda influenced game. It was well put together and a really good game. And now Oceanhorn 2 is on the way to Nintendo Switch eshop and its very different from the first one! We have more information about the game and some thoughts on it below.

Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm will be available on the Nintendo Switch on October 28th. It will cost €29.99/$29.99/£29.99. The game will be available for pre-order on October 21st and have a 10% discount!

Here’s how the game is described in a press release we received:

“Prequel to the acclaimed Oceanhorn: Monsters of Uncharted Seas, Oceanhorn 2 follows the adventures of a young Knight who sets out on a magical journey across the vast regions of Gaia to defend the lands and people of Arcadia from Warlock Mesmeroth’s Dark Army. Joined by Trin, the granddaughter of Arcadia’s leader Archimedes, and Gen, a mysterious robot wielding an old Samurai weapon, our young protagonist faces the impossible challenge of uniting the Owrus, Gillfolk, and humans in order to defeat Mesmeroth’s formidable Dark Army. By controlling the characters with contextual commands, you must solve puzzles and fight in tactical battles to strike down your enemies in hack ‘n slash combat, traversing a Zelda-esque open-world landscape.”

The game is said to be a 20-hour action/rpg!

While the first Oceanhorn reminded me of one of Zelda’s older games like A Link to the Past crossed with Wind Waker, this new game reminds me of Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. The game features a taller character, with a behind the shoulder type camera.

I think the game looks great! I love the graphics, the new tools the character uses, and the story sounds good. I’m always excited for a new Zelda-like adventure.

And the game is coming soon! Wow. Oceanhorn 2 should be another excellent addition to the Nintendo Switch eshop.
