More Thoughts From Me #210: My Smash Bros. Spirit Addiction

Lately, I’ve been playing Smash Bros more. I’ve been trying to collect more spirits. Why? I’m not sure. I don’t play the Adventure mode anymore. But I just can’t stop collecting spirits. I’ve also been trying to unlock more music and Mii costumes. Whenever I have a little time and I’m not sure what to do anymore, I’ll go check out the Smash Spirits. Let’s talk about my Smash Bros Spirit Addiction.

I’ve been collecting a lot of Smash Bros. spirits lately. I’m not sure why. I never play the Adventure more. And yet. I just really like getting these spirits.

I think it has a lot to do with nostalgia. I keep wondering what new spirit will pop up. What franchise does this one come from? How will I beat this character to this spirit? What’s next? The amount of spirits in Smash bros ultimate is shocking. And the new ones added are pretty cool (Cuphead).

As you all know, I’m a big Animal Crossing fan. So absolutely have to get all the Animal Crossing spirits. I’m hoping that we’ll see some spirits related to New Horizons!

But its not just spirits that I’m after in Smash Bros Ultimate. I have also been unlocking more music to listen to and Mii costumes via Smash’s shop. Of course, this also means I have to play the regular Smash Bros fighting sometimes to rebuild my in-game money.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is still a really fun game. I do like just going to into the regular fighting mode sometimes. I don’t play much online, though I do admit that recent 90s tournament is pretty tempting!

Overall, Smash Bros is a great time killer. Whether its collecting spirits, leveling them up, getting new music, Mii costumes, or just fighting, there’s so much to do in this game.

I have no idea how Nintendo will ever top Super Smash Bros Ultimate (in terms of fighting games). Maybe they shouldn’t even try. Then again…there are still so many characters out there…
