Take Advantage of Disney Magic Kingdoms Lulls

When there aren’t any events going on in Disney Magic Kingdoms – which doesn’t seem to be that frequent this year – players need to take advantage of the downtime to get their characters upgraded. If there was anything the Maleficent content taught me, it is that having characters at high levels makes finishing the quests much easier. Let’s dive into why it’s important to use down time wisely!

Alongside the launch of the Christopher Robins quests, Disney dropped new Pirates of the Caribbean content as well. With a nice lull between events, right now would be a good time to nab up those extra characters you haven’t earned yet, as well as getting other characters in your park leveled up. During the Maleficent event, it was no secret that higher level characters earned you more and more Maleficent tokens. During Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, I had no problem earning the tokens as I had all my characters in those chapters around level 9 or 10. When moving into Chapter 3, and specifically using the Wall-E characters, I saw a drastic drop in token earn rates, as Eve was only Level 3 and Wall-E only Level 4.

So often, players in free-to-play games take downtime as a period in which they can ignore their game and take a break from the everyday grind. And while that is definitely enjoyable – as too much Disney Magic Kingdoms can wear me down – it is important to keep generating magic potions, running parades to earn gems, and much more.

Here’s the long and short of Disney Magic Kingdoms – there is no down time. You seem to unlock characters at a much faster pace in this game then in other free-to-play titles, and staying on top of all the content can be challenging. Unless you are 100% caught up in the game, you cannot afford to waste the down time!
