TCL Communications Announces the BlackBerry KEY2
The most advanced BlackBerry phone ever was unveiled today by BlackBerry production partner TCL Communications during a launch event in New York City. The phone will be much more powerful than the previous BlackBerry releases, and will maintain the physical keyboard and exceptional security that the brand is known for. The device will retail for about $829 CAN ($649 USD) and will be shipping later this month.
The device will be running Android Oreo 8.1 and is the first BlackBerry device to feature a dual, rear facing camera. The 4.5-inch touch screen features strong Gorilla Glass, and is encased within a solid, sleek aluminum frame. The traditional BlackBerry keyboard is getting an enhancement with this release, implementing a shortcut button to open your favourite apps with a touch of a button. BlackBerry has just become even more user friendly.
The device promises 2 days worth of battery life, has 6 GB of memory on-board, and comes in both a 64GB and 128GB size, with expandable storage via micro-SD. All of these great features, along with a 12mp camera, will be powered by the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ processor, the most powerful processor every put into a BlackBerry device. Like with the motion – which we previously reviewed – the KEY2 will feature quick charge capabilities, as well as integrate the Smart Battery Experience for when your device is running low.
We are very excited for the newest BlackBerry device at GamesReviews.com, and hope to bring you a full review around the launch of the product. Keep it here for all things BlackBerry!
