Newest Pokemon Expansion, Forbidden Light, Coming May 4th

Another round of Pokémon card are about to enter play in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, when the latest expansion – Forbidden Light – launches at retail on May 4th, 208. Forbidden Light is the latest in the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon lineup of cards, which have coincided with the video games of the same name on the Nintendo 3DS Version. With a new Pokémon game slated for release in the next year or so, fans should grab onto these expansions for Sun and Moon as a new generation could be announced soon! Our prediction: E3 2018.

Back to the expansion. According to a press release from The Pokémon Company, Forbidden Light expansion will include 130 cards total, including 5 new Prism Star cards – introduced in the last expansion – 8 Pokémon GX cards, 6 Ultra Beast cards, 15 Trainer Cards, and 2 Special Energy cards. As always, booster packs will include 10 cards, with at least one guaranteed rare and one energy card.
