Check out this week’s re-releases and remasters
According to Svenska online casino games such as Gonzo’s Quest, Jimi Hendrix and Starburst are today’s modern classics, but if you prefer to play games via other platforms you may want to take a look at some re-releases and remasters that have just hit the shelves for the PS4 and Xbox One.
This week sees games, such as Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package, LocoRoco 2 and A Hat in Time released on new platforms to encourage more players to join in the gaming fun. Let’s take a look at a few of them and what they offer.
Dead Rising 4: Franks’ Big Package for the PS4
Previously released back in 2016, Dead Rising 4 didn’t quite get the same rapturous reviews as the earlier games in the series. However, for anyone who’s a big fan of zombies, this game is a whole lot of fun.
A tongue-in-cheek parody of Christmas consumerism it sees Frank West take on thousands of undead in a battle to race through the levels and come out on top. Formerly released for Windows and the Xbox One, now PS4 players can join in the zombie killing fun too.
You’ll get to create custom-made weapons to foil the zombies, with crazy combinations such as a gun wielding giant teddy giving you options you may never have thought of before.
LocoRoco 2 Remastered for the PS 4
Remastered with 4K resolution, this game was originally released for the PSP area of games over ten years ago and has now been brought right up to date for the PS 4. In this follow-up to LocoRoco, you play the part of the planet inhabited by the LocoRoco, doing whatever you can to help them traverse their surroundings and pit their wits against foes such as the Moja and their dark evil songs.
By indirectly controlling the LocoRoco, you have to use all your puzzling skills to think outside the box, which adds an extra element of fun. Let’s hope it inspires a new generation of players to add LocoRoco to their list of favourite games.
A Hat in Time for the PS4 and Xbox One
A Hat in Time was originally released on PC, but is now coming to a PS4 or Xbox One near you.
Inspired by 3D animations such as Super Mario 64, this game follows a young girl called Hat Kid who’s trying to make her way home when she gets caught up in the middle of crazy Mafia Town, when she flies her spaceship too close to their planet without paying the toll.
During the chaos, she loses the hourglasses that are used to power her ship and so needs to go on a mission to find them.
There are lots of levels to explore, plenty of enemies to defeat, balls of wool to collect, and interesting characters such as the appropriately named Moustache Girl who’s also seeking the hourglasses, that combine perfectly to give you a fun game in a user-friendly setting.
So, if you’re looking to play an old favourite on your gaming platform, head out to the stores and bag yourself one of these old-but-goodies.
