An Elephant Never Forgets: A Look At Yono and the Celestial Elephants for Nintendo Switch

Yono and the Celestial Elephants is cute. Let us get that out of the way first. This is a really cute game. You might look at it and go “Oh, thats just a kids game.” But is it “just” a kids game or is this a game that anyone could enjoy? Here is my preview of Yono and the Celestial Elephants for Nintendo Switch!

I remember seeing a preview for Yono and the Celestial Elephants and thinking it looked neat. The graphics were cute and the gameplay looked fun. Though, I know there are alot of people who look at a “cute game” and say “Kids game”. So is Yono and the Celestial Elephants a kids game?

I think kids could enjoy Yono but I also think adults could enjoy it too. The game’s graphics are cute, though they are also detailed and the world in which Yono travels feels alive and interesting. And the actual gameplay here is fun too.

Yono’s gameplay reminds me of the Legend of Zelda series. There are towns to visit, forests and other areas, and dungeons too. And those dungeons really do seem like something right out of a Zelda game. Yono isn’t just copycat of that popular franchise though.

There are some unique gameplay elements that set Yono apart from Zelda or games like it. As an elephant, Yono is a much slower character and that means the pace of this game is much slower and laid back.

Yono also has some interesting ablities. First off, Yono can push objects with his body or ram them. He can also use his trunk to blow on objects or to suck up water to spit on fires (and other stuff). Oh and Yono can pick up objects too and carry them on his back! All of this is done in the cutest way possible.

Don’t let Yono and the Celestial Elephants cuteness turn you away from this game. There are some really cool things to see and do in it. Yono is a very unique game and I hope people will check it out!
