Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Overview Trailer

Mario Kart 8 was wonderful on the Wii U. In fact, I would say it was the best Mario Kart yet! I especially loved the added Zelda and Animal Crossing DLC. And in April, Mario Kart 8 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. What makes this game the deluxe version of Mario Kart 8? Take a look at the trailer below and come back for my impressions of it.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Nintendo Switch has all of the Wii U DLC included right on the cart and also has new battle modes and several new/returning characters. It looks like it’ll be the ultimate version of the game! I think that the new battle modes are especially impressive and the new characters, like the Inkling girl/guy, are pretty awesome. But will all of this be worth another purchase of Mario Kart 8 for someone who already has the game on Wii U?

With Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, you’ll be able to play the game anywhere thanks to the Switch’s portability and TV  mode. Also, having all the dlc, plus some new stuff in one package is great. If you are big fan of Mario Kart 8 and a fan of Mario Kart in general, I would think that this deluxe version would be hard to pass up!

Before watching the trailer above, I said I would not be buying Mario Kart 8 again. After watching it though, I’m not so convinced. I loved Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U. The Switch version, amazingly, looks even better.
