Little King Story: A Nostalgic Trip
When Little King Story launched back on the Wii a number of years ago, it was a game I was really looking forward too. It delivered for me for the most part, but there were a few nagging issues that really took away from the overall experience. That game on Wii came and went for me, and frankly, I haven’t thought of it much since.
That was until recently, when the PR company for Xseed reached out and sent over a review copy of the game, this time available on the PC, via Steam. Again, I didn’t think much of it. With big games like Deus Ex: Man Kind Divided to review, and tons of news to get posted, I thought – I never technically requested this title so I will get to it when I get to it.
Then my Xbox One broke down, and I was left with one thing – my PC, and a fresh copy of Little King Story. So I dove in.
What a nostalgic trip this was for me. Everything I loved about the Wii release was back, with better graphics, higher quality audio, and minor changes that ported the game from the Wii to the PC perfectly. In fact, this is easily the best Little King Story experience as the game always seemed to have that PC vibe, even when released on the Wii.
I remember so much of what I was playing, but that didn’t matter to me. I was essentially playing one of my most anticipated games (ever), just for a second time. And I knew from the get go that I was playing the superior product, the definitive edition you could say.
I still have lots of things to say about Little King Story, but these will roll out over the next few months. If you loved the title on the Wii, go grab it on Steam. It is completely worth it!
