Details Emerge on Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered
For those who were waiting for the official announcement that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered was actually going to be a thing, wait no more. It was announced today that a remastered edition of the original Modern Warfare title would be coming to consoles alongside the launch of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Unfortunately, as it stands right now, access to this will be limited.
Although Activision and Infinity Ward have not declared it official, the only confirmed way to get a copy of the remastered Call of Duty will be by purchasing Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. See below for details on the different bundles.
Legacy Edition and Digital Legacy Edition ($79.99) – Includes both Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.
Digital Deluxe Edition ($99.99) – Includes Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and Season Pass.
Legacy Pro Edition ($119.99) – Includes Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, Season Pass, collectible Steelbook, official game soundtrack and additional digital items.
There are not details yet on if Modern Warfare Remastered will be available as a stand alone title. Unfortunately for Activision, I personally feel that the reveal of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is getting overshadowed by the remastered version of Modern Warfare. Is releasing Modern Warfare Remastered a ploy to sell a Call of Duty that some might be skeptical about (since it will happen in Space)! It might be the lure that Activision and Infinity Ward need to get consumers to pick up their latest Call of Duty game.
