Watch Dogs Wii U Ditching DLC
There’s never been any question that the Wii U version of Ubisoft’s new IP Watch Dogs was the odd one out, and it seems even Ubisoft aren’t especially interested in hiding the fact. A rogue Tweet today confirmed that Watch Dogs Wii U won’t be getting any DLC.
@SnowyDay2 begged the official Ubisoft account to release a season pass for the Wii U:
@watchdogsgame @Ubisoft Please give Wii U the Seasson Pass for this game
— Andres (@snowyday2) September 24, 2014
Ubisoft answered that there would be no DLC at all for the Wii U version. That tweet has now been deleted, but not before being caught and discussed on Reddit and NintendoEverything.
The tweet read:
@SnowyDay2 Unfortunately, the DLC will not be available for the WiiU_
Again, this isn’t really a surprising turn of events, although that makes it no less disappointing for those that were looking forward to playing the additional content. Ubisoft really haven’t even tried to hide their abandoning the system, which makes it almost worse than EA completely ignoring it after launch. At least EA aren’t asking customers to buy products they don’t want to fully support.
This could be the final straw for those already annoyed that they have to wait until November to get hold of a game that’s been available elsewhere for six months.
