Japan Goes Retro for PlayStation Plus

crashbandicoot-nsanity_690x466

The EU PlayStation Plus update this month was fine, right? But the two sports titles and the mixed thoughts on the PS4 entry, Mercenary Kings, mean some are calling it the worst in a while. Japan’s update has just been announced and it’s different to say the least. If you’re a big fan of Sony, you’ll probably even be quite jealous.

Below is the list of games hitting Japan’s Plus this month.

  • Crash Bandicoot (PlayStation Classic)
  • Spyro the Dragon (PlayStation Classic)
  • Ape Escape (PlayStation Classic)
  • Ore no Yori (PlayStation Classic)
  • Twisted Metal EX (PlayStation Classic)
  • Panekit (PlayStation Classic)
  • Shadow of the Colossus (PS3)
  • Ys: Memories of Celceta (PS Vita)
  • Ys I & II (PC Engine Classic)
  • Jaseiken Necromancer (PC Engine Classic)
  • Custom Drive (PSP)
  • Sengoku Tenka Toitsu (PSP)
  • Nights Into Dreams… (PS3)
  • Heavy Fire Afghanistan (PS3)
  • Heavy Fire Shattered Spear (PS3)
  • Moe Moe Dai Senso Gen Daiban ++ (PS Vita)

Crash and Spyro, Ape Escape, Shadow of the Colossus, Nights Into Dreams, Heavy Fire Shattered Spear – it’s like a what’s what of classic titles (that last one’s better than Rambo anyway). There’s also some of the PC Engine Classics that never really made it to EU shores, and a few PSP titles to boot.
