New PlayStation 4 Firmware Update Coming Tomorrow

wirelessheadset-PS4

The PlayStation 4 is one of the best consoles ever released, and that’s no exaggeration. Even with that high praise though, there are still a few niggles that run fairly common through the community. Why are certain headsets unsupported? Why can’t you mute the microphone on the camera? These issues will be rectified tomorrow, alongside others, in the PlayStation 4 firmware 1.60.

The actual contents of the patch are unknown as of now. The patch was something of an afterthought in an article about a new Sony-brand headset (which thousands of us read about just to find out something, anything about the firmware update). But there are certain things we do know – the patch will add support for the new headsets, as well as older Pulse brand sets, and it’ll add an option to mute the microphone on the PlayStation camera.

Those with long memories will know early adopters were promised a huge patch in January, a patch which never came. Some thing this may well be this patch, in which case it should contain a bevy of features including the ability to pause and resume play while the console is in stand-by and MP3 support. Don’t get too excited though, until that patch is out and the official changelog is released, nothing is definite.
